Part Five:How to Get It

1. Derived from the neutralization of formic acid and ammonia. Freeze the formic acid and water, agitate the ammonia gas to make the pH value be 7-7.5, lower the temperature to -5℃ and spin-filter to obtain it.

2. In a 90% formic acid solution, pass ammonia gas.

After a sufficient amount of ammonia gas is introduced, the temperature rises and the heat released can promote the precipitation of it. The crystals were filtered, recrystallized from absolute ethanol, and dried in a vacuum desiccator equipped with 99% sulfuric acid.

3. 100 parts of methyl formate, 100 parts of water, 0.1 part of formic acid, adjust the pH to 2.5, heat to 70°C with stirring, add 20 parts of ammonia water, keep the pH at 2~3, after about 1h, 70% formic acid The methyl ester has been hydrolyzed. Internal steaming is carried out. When the temperature of the distillation head is 10°C, unreacted methyl formate and methanol are distilled off, leaving an acidic solution of it in the evaporator. Neutralize with ammonia and re-evaporate to obtain it with 98% content
